Our goal is to provide another chance for those in need including the homeless, jobless, ex-offenders, and those in recovery.
Housing / Furniture
The Damascus Road accepts and picks up used furniture donations and distributes them to those in need. Adrian, Michigan area agencies call us for help in putting families back together when they receive new housing. Those agencies can help with counseling and housing, but many times their clients cannot afford furniture that they need to make the housing viable.
Emergency Food Pantry
The Damascus Road provides an emergency 24-hour food pantry for families in need.
Employment Agency
The Damascus Road is an employment agency that provides spot labor for companies who need day, week, or monthly temporary services in Lenawee County. When possible, we provide full-time employment via contractual agreements with businesses and non-profits. We give job referrals to employers who will look at individuals based on each person's ability, not their past mistakes.
Warming Room
During winter months, the Damascus Road provides an area for the homeless to warm-up.
